Ag Territory Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION:
SINCLAIR TRACTOR is seeking an energetic, driven and professional individual to join the Mediapolis, IA location as an Ag Territory Manager selling in and around Des Moines county and Louisa county. The successful candidate will have the primary responsibility of developing relationships and solutions while selling new and used Ag & Turf equipment to existing and future customers.
The desired candidate will have a background in agriculture and is passionate about technology, innovation, and growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for developing relationships with farmers, large property owners, and municipalities in their county/counties of coverage

Meets and responds to the needs of assigned customers in a professional and timely manner. Timely follow-up is essential.

Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area

Prospects and reaches out to “new” customers on a regular basis

Accurately maintains customer information lists, contacts, and sales activities through CRM software

Plans ahead for call activity and strategy

Creates and presents material to encourage the customer’s decision-making process

Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly

Knows and follows a defined sales process

Effectively use demonstrations – plans, qualifies, formalizes the demo presentation and follows up with written recap and quote

Prepares sales contracts for obtained orders and submits those orders for processing

Conducts new equipment field demonstrations

Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to management and sales team

Maintains current knowledge of financing/leasing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods

Attends applicable sales training events/seminars

Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events

May maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of successful sales experience selling ag equipment or working with related equipment is strongly preferred

Knowledge of agricultural, application and turf equipment, as well as farming or operational practices, preferred

Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions

Ability to work flexible hours

Excellent customer relationship and communication skills, both written and verbal

High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in business or agriculture-related field is preferred
COMPENSATION:

This position offers a base salary with uncapped commission and includes a company vehicle as well as the latest business technology.
