JOB SUMMARY:
Sinclair Tractor is seeking a skilled and experienced Logistics and Distribution Center Manager to help manage the start-up, and continuing operation, of their distribution warehouse. This location will receive product from our manufacturing facilities and fulfill customer orders in all of our locations and/or direct to consumer.
Candidates must have solid experience in managing warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations. Must have excellent logistical and managerial skills. As the manager of the warehouse location, excellent communication skills are a must.
Reporting directly to President, the Logistics Manager is responsible for the overall corporate strategy, execution and management of the Logistics and Warehouse Management for Sinclair Tractor. In this role, you will proactively guide your team, utilizing Lean tools and methodologies, to initiate safety-focused warehouse operations.
Experience and Skills:
Responsibilities/Duties include:
- Focus on continuous improvement within the function to make programs and processes more efficient and cost effective; always looking for gaps in efficiency and executing on optimization
- Responsible for building and managing Distribution Center for Sinclair Tractor
- Define logistics process and build program for Sinclair Tractor
- Develop efficient routing for daily logistics runs
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues
- Oversee material management process at all ports, service centers, remote and local warehouses to prevent supply chain disruptions
- Develop and deploy a supply chain localization strategy to identify local vendors for procurement
- Develop distribution center design by material flow, and product handling systems; evaluation and recommending new equipment and systems for optimization and growth
- Oversee the cross functional coordination of SAP implementation and full-scale execution
- Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures
- Understands and demonstrates the Company’s core values
- Performs other duties as assigned
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- 5+ years of experience in Logistics
- 3-5 years of experience managing a large distribution center or warehouse
- Warehouse/DC startup or major reorganization experience preferred
- Proficient in utilizing and driving results via Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain field preferred

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm. Ocassional Saturdays work may be required as job duties demand. This position requires up to 25% travel to out various locations as needed
